Best wishes, From Don Gillies
I purchased your excellent book "L of a way to pass". Which is the main reason for writing. I read your book over a weekend and I can thoroughly recommend it. I was inspired to try 'tapping' with a pupil who had a test the following week. I had come to know Nancy (not her name) very well during our twice weekly sessions. A delightful girl with a steely determination that one day, no matter how long it took, she would become a driver. The first dozen lessons began with a car park session before she declared herself ready to face the road! A lack of confidence and various co-ordination issues made for slow progress. I forget how many lessons we had with her objective "Today I want to conquer roundabout's"
Nancy developed into an excellent driver but on her 3 previous attempts at test she was extremely nervous. With test 4 a few days away she agreed to try your L of a way 2 Pass techniques. Sitting in the test centre she told me she "I don't think it's working." But we had a final few taps and some deep breathing. She returned 40 minutes later with a 3 fault pass! In her own words “after a nervy 5 minutes I just settled down.” This was backed up by the driving examiner’s comments "You went off like your pants were on fire and picked up the faults by the end of the road. The rest of the drive was fine" It's not possible to say how much the tapping helped, but I'm impressed by the result. I don't know how it works but it does! Many thanks for writing such a useful book.
