I trained as a driving instructor in 2002, and soon realised how many good drivers failed due to nerves on the day, so I decided to do something about it!

I embarked on an amazing 2-year journey to discover how I could help learners (and fellow instructors) to take their respective tests feeling calm, relaxed, and confident. With the help of an award from The Millennium Trust for Social Entrepreneurs, I trained as a Thought Field Therapist to the Advanced Level, and wrote and published my first book, L of a way 2 Pass.

Having been a driving instructor for over 20 years, I finally decided to ‘hang up the L plates’ and I’m proud to continue in the driving instructor industry as a member of the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving.

Over the years, L of a way 2 Pass has expanded, and, with my partner Chris, we run our Driving Test Nerves Specialist workshops throughout the U.K. to train instructors in techniques to help themselves and their learners. In addition, we offer 1-2-1 sessions to help with test nerves, performance anxiety, and fears and phobias.
