Diane has a wealth of experience of helping sportsmen and women in a number of disciplines, and specialises in helping golfers to improve their ‘mental’ game. Whether that be anxiety teeing off in front of the clubhouse with that feeling of ‘all eyes on me’, to swapping for an old ball when driving over water ‘just in case it goes in’, to dealing with the yips, Diane has a unique method of finding the weak area in your game, and by using her specialist psychological techniques, will take away those mental blocks that prevent you from performing at your best.
Diane has featured in publications such as Lady Golfer magazine and National Club Golfer, and her talk ‘Improve your game by 30% in 30 seconds’ is always well received at clubs around the country! In addition to sharing her techniques with club golfers, she has worked with international golfers, and Karl Morris (‘Mind’ coach to Louis Oosthizen) says of Diane: “There is good evidence to suggest that TFT can be really helpful to your game. Whether you’re the club pro, or the closest to scratch you’ll ever get is when you scratch your head and wonder where the ball went, Diane promises her techniques will benefit you: ‘If your handicap is 25 I can’t turn you into a scratch golfer, but what I can do is to ensure you can control your emotions, so you can play to the best of your physical and technical ability. Success is not totally eliminating your mistakes – everyone will have bad shots – but in controlling your reactions to those mistakes. We tend to think of emotions as ‘just the way we are’, but this is not so. Performance is directly influenced by stress and emotional mismanagement. The connection between the mind and the body on the golf course can never be over-estimated; they can work together in a harmonious way or they can function at cross purposes. My techniques will give you back control over your emotions’.
Performance Enhancing 1-2-1 Session
Generally a 1.5 hour session, and in the majority of cases, one session is all that is required. These will be tailored to your individual requirements following a comprehensive pre-session evaluation.
